What to expect
Firstly and always; a very warm welcome.
We take pride in knowing all our participants by name and have strived to create a community-based family feel to our classes. Incorporating fun and upbeat, feel-good music to lift your spirits and get you fit and healthy at the same time; think Abba, Queen, Elvis, Michael Bublé and newer artists like The Weekend.
Each class is an hour long; the health and safety of our participants is paramount and we fill it with fun, support, laughter and joy.
At the start
The class takes place whilst standing and you do not need to get onto the floor.
We commence the class with a selection of warm-up tracks designed to gently mobilise your joints, this is followed by a stretch routine which prepares your body for the higher intensity tracks to follow which works on your cardiovascular system.
During the class
We work on your physicality, including your strength and muscle tone, your bone density, respiratory, cardiovascular system and neurological strength including your balance and coordination.
We offer higher and lower options to suit varied health conditions and participants will be encouraged to work to your own ability and hydrate throughout the class.
Towards the end
Towards the end of the class we will lower the intensity enabling participants to cool down safely and complete a final post-workout stretch routine. Allowing participants to gradually relax, improve flexibility and slow down their heart rate.
