Couch to 5K graduate!
9 weeks, 27 runs, 27 blogs and the Couch to 5K journey has come to an end – phew!
A beautiful evening of blue sky & sunshine played host to my final run and looking back over the last 9 weeks the weather has been particularly generous, which made it an altogether more pleasurable experience.
Willpower and determination prevailed and it is a nice feeling knowing that I achieved “graduate” status which 9 weeks ago seemed almost impossible.
A huge thank you to all of the CheeziJoggers who have been so supportive and motivating, some of whom have also completed the programme and some who are still continuing at their own pace – you have all been an inspiration and I hope you are proud of what you have achieved.
For those who have discovered a love for running, there is a Couch to 5K+ podcast series which is designed for those who have completed the programme. Each 5K+ podcast provides a structured run with music and coaching to develop your running technique, speed and stamina. Working on your technique will assist in making your runs feel less tiring and also reduce the risk of injury.

It is never too late to start as the programme can be completed in your own time and fit in and around your lifestyle.
